Why should the burner always rest on stone, whatever the platform is made of?

Fire lives with stone: deep below the earth's crust, in the mantle, the rocks are molten like fire. So wherever a platform is made, the part where the burner sits must be stone; laminate and wooden platforms are not good and stainless steel is only partly acceptable.

Does increasing the energy of the South-East or South-South-East raise the chance of theft, fire or accidents?

No, this idea is wrong and should be removed from the mind. An element's own zone can bear any amount of that element: kitchens burn daily in the South-East, factories run furnaces there day and night, and a plant in Goa melts quartz in its South-East without such problems; high mountains in the South-West only strengthen the earth element there.

How is yellow Jaisalmer stone flooring?
Is a tall chimney in the South-East a dosh?

No. In practice even very tall chimneys in the SE showed no dosh, because the fire element always goes upward, as swar vigyan also shows; a rising chimney suits fire.

Should black stone be used for the kitchen platform?

No. Black represents the water and space elements, and looking at black continuously weakens the eyesight. Tiny insects, bacteria and ants cannot be seen on black stone, so they get mixed into the food.

The South has the fire element, so why can't the kitchen be built there?

The South is the proper location of Mars and represents fire, but all the principles are based on the Sun. When the Sun is in the South its rays are so hot that the vitamins and minerals they carry are destroyed, and cooking there affects the cook's mind badly. Fire stays balanced up to the South-East, which is why the kitchen is made there; in the South the fire becomes imbalanced.

Why does the colour of the kitchen platform matter so much?

Eye contact is greatest with the platform, since rolling, chopping and all cooking work happen on it, so its colour works on the eyes and mind. In a wrongly placed kitchen the right platform colour alone can correct about 25% of the dosh: ivory for South, South-East, South-South-East and West-South-West kitchens; light red lakha granite for South-East and South-South-East, used sparingly because red stone comes only as granite, which develops pin holes; yellow for South-West and West; and green for South-East, South-South-East, South, North-East and North.
