Principle
Basement Zones: N, NNE, NE, E and ENE; Never S, SW or Brahmasthan
Build a basement only in the North, NNE, NE, East and ENE, or as a full basement that lets sun rays in; never in the South, South-West or the Brahmasthan.
Principle
Boundary Wall Gate Placement for Each Facing
Place the boundary (compound) wall gate in ENE for an East-facing plot, SSE for a South-facing plot, WNW for a West-facing plot and NNE for a North-facing plot.
What it does
Gives the boundary gate a good position for each facing.
Where
Compound wall gate in ENE, SSE, WNW or NNE according to the facing

Principleउत्संग द्वार
Utsang Dwar: Main Door Directly Facing the Boundary Wall Gate
When the main door of the building and the boundary wall gate stand face to face in one line, the arrangement is utsang (sammukh) dwar, the best door coordination in any direction.
Principleपूर्ण बाहु द्वार
Purna Bahu Dwar: Clockwise Route from Main Door to Boundary Gate
Coming out of the main door and reaching the boundary wall gate by moving clockwise forms purna bahu (complete arm) dwar, which completes the purpose of every outing.
Principleहीन बाहु द्वार
Heen Bahu Dwar: Anti-clockwise Route from Main Door to Gate
Leaving the main door and reaching the boundary wall gate by moving anti-clockwise forms heen bahu dwar, which cuts the results of even a correctly placed door.
Principleपृष्ठ भंग द्वार
Prishth Bhang Dwar: Circling the House to Reach the Main Door
When the boundary gate is on one side but the main door is opened at the back, so that one walks around the whole house to enter, the arrangement is prishth bhang dwar and gives no results.
Method
Leave Home Clockwise for Auspicious Journeys and Important Meetings
For an auspicious journey or an important meeting, leave the house and first move the vehicle clockwise, even if the road later turns the other way.
Testing
Checklist: Why a Main Door on a Correct Pad Gives No Results
A main door on an auspicious pad still fails when the route to the gate is wrong, when there is any vedh in front, when the house faces a cremation ground, or when the door is out of plumb.
Principleश्मशान
House Facing a Cremation Ground (Shamshan)
A house whose front faces a cremation ground does not give results even with correct facing and a correct door; most of the hard work drains away.
Energy Boostingमहालक्ष्मी द्वार
Mahalakshmi Doors N4, E3 and W4 and Their Substitutes
N4, E3 and W4 are the Mahalakshmi doors through which Lakshmi enters; a house with all three open sees a heavy flow of money and many sources of income.
