Checking the Main Door for Tilt with a Plumb Line and Water Level

A main door that leans inward or outward even by half a degree to two degrees stops giving results; check it with a plumb line (soot-saval) and a water level.

What it does

Finds a hidden door defect when a correctly placed door is not working.

Where

Main door and its frame

Samagri used

  • Plumb bob on a thread (soot-saval)
  • Water level
  • Guniya (L-shaped mason square)

How to do it

  1. 1Hang the plumb bob from the top of the door and check that the door is vertical from top to bottom.
  2. 2Place the water level on the door to check its level.
  3. 3Correct any lean inward or outward.

Cautions

  • A door leaning outward makes the person wander outside again and again and unable to bring money home.
  • A door leaning inward invites diseases.
  • Even a purna bahu door gives no results if it is tilted.

Explanation and notes

Every vastu consultant should carry a plumb line and water level in the bag. The door can make a person leave home; it brings wealth and can also take it out, so even doing only the vastu of the door gives results. Case: a person who had learned vastu opened an E4 door but still had problems; the water level showed the door leaning outward.
