Marking the 45 Vastu Devtas on a Map by the Angular Method

After bhoomi vibhajan the 45 Vastu devtas are marked by angle: the 32 outer devtas at 11.25 degrees each in the Pishach bhoomi, four main inner devtas at 54 degrees and eight others at 18 degrees in the combined Manushya and Dev band, and Brahma in the centre.

What it does

Places every Vastu devta correctly on any map for devta analysis, main door location and ati marma marking.

Where

Pishach bhoomi for the 32 outer devtas, the combined Manushya and Dev band for the 12 inner devtas, the centre for Brahma

Samagri used

  • Map with north, centre and bhoomi vibhajan marked
  • Zoning chakra or protractor
  • Scale, pencil and eraser

How to do it

  1. 1Finish the bhoomi vibhajan first; devtas cannot be marked before the bhoomis are divided
  2. 2Erase the line between Manushya and Dev bhoomi, because for devtas these two form one band
  3. 3Mark the 32 outer devtas only within the Pishach bhoomi band at 11.25 degrees each, as in 32 pad zoning: N5 at 0 degrees is Soma, followed by Bhujang, Aditi, Diti and the rest
  4. 4In the middle band mark the four main inner devtas at 54 degrees each, 27 degrees on either side of their direction line
  5. 5Mark the eight other inner devtas at 18 degrees each beside them, so every 90 degree quarter reads 18, 54, 18
  6. 6Keep the Brahma bhoomi in the centre as Brahma
  7. 7Name the inner devtas clockwise from North: Bhudhar (North), Aap, Aapvatsa, Aryama (East), Savita, Savitra, Vivasvan (South), Indra, Jaya, Mitra (West), Rudra and Rajyakshma

Cautions

  • Draw the 32 outer devta lines only within the Pishach bhoomi band
  • Mark north correctly first; a wrong north shifts every devta

Explanation and notes

Inner devtas such as Vivasvan, Indra and Mitra spread over two bhoomis, Dev and Manushya, which is why that line is erased. Earlier the band was divided into boxes; today the angular method is used. Each 90 degree quarter holds 10 equal boxes of 9 degrees: the main devta covers 6 boxes (54 degrees) and each side devta 2 boxes (18 degrees). The 32 outer devtas and Brahma make 33, and the 12 inner devtas complete the 45. With the zoning chakra, align centre to centre and north to north: its black lines give the 32 outer devtas and its yellow lines the inner devta boundaries, drawn only in the middle band. Marking all devtas takes five to seven minutes.

Ati Marma: Nine Vital Points of the Plot That Must Stay Free

Ati marma are the nine most sensitive points of the Vastu grid, formed where six devta-to-devta lines cross. In a regular, proportionate plot almost all of them fall in the Brahmasthan, and any piercing, load or dirt on them blocks the energy of the whole plot and brings severe, lasting trouble, above all to the owner (griha swami).

Testing

Ati Marma Check for Sudden Quarrels, Losses and Unexplained Illness

When a house built to good Vastu suddenly sees quarrels, business loss, restless children, bad dreams or a family member who stays ill, check what sits on its ati marma points. Shoes, a dustbin, a used plate or heavy goods placed there can trigger such trouble, and moving them brings quick relief.

Remedy

Ati Marma Remedies: Herbs, Metal Kurma (Tortoise) and Gems

Blocked marma and ati marma points are opened with injection-like remedies: special herbs are placed under marma points, while metal kurma (tortoise) figures, metals and precious minerals are installed on the ati marma. They reopen the blocked energy channels of the land.

Method

Dividing Any Map into 16 Zones of 22.5 Degrees

Once north is marked, a map of any shape is divided into 16 zones of 22.5 degrees by starting 11.25 degrees on either side of the north line. It takes about two minutes on regular and irregular maps alike.

Method

Dividing a Map into 32 Pads (Zones) of 11.25 Degrees

For 32 zoning each pad is 11.25 degrees, with N5 centred on the exact north (0 degrees). Start 5.62 degrees on either side of north and mark every 11.25 degrees, or mark the black lines of the zoning chakra.
