Principle

Ventilators at the Top and Cross-Ventilation to Reduce Arguments

Houses used to have ventilators high on the walls to balance the air element; bringing them down as windows has led to more arguments at home, even from ten-year-old children. Doors, windows and cross-ventilation are a must.

What it does

Reduces arguments and delays by restoring proper air flow.

Where

Upper part of the walls for ventilators; doors and windows placed for cross-ventilation

Cautions

  • Do not pack or close openings without reason; only certain zones are meant to be packed.
  • Do not replace high ventilators with low windows.

Explanation and notes

Earlier, children listened quietly; today even a ten-year-old answers back to the father and everyone else. The teacher traced this to the ventilator having been moved from the top of the wall down into the window.

Principleपंच मिथुन

Vedic Creation Order of the Five Elements (Panch Mithun Cycle)

In Vedic vastu the five elements arose one from another in a fixed order: Space, then Air, Fire, Water and Earth, after which the cycle returns to Space. This order, described in the Shiv Puran, is the base for knowing which element creates or destroys another.

Principle

Land Energy Decides 70 Percent, Orientation Only 30 Percent

Land (geopathic) energy, which is the earth element, carries 70 percent of the result of a building, while orientation and zoning carry 30 percent. A site with zero land energy fails however good its orientation and interiors are.

Principleपृथ्वी तत्व

Earth Element (Prithvi Tatva): Attributes, Zone and Effects in the House

The earth element is golden yellow, square, located in the South-West and solid, heavy and dense by nature; in a house it is represented by the land energy, the plot shape and the slope. Balanced, it gives the greatest stability and success; disturbed, it brings business uncertainty and unhealthy relationships.

Principle

Keep the South-West Packed, Heavy and Closed (Earth Zone Rule)

The South-West holds the earth element, whose nature is solid, heavy and dense, so this zone is kept solid, heavy and compact with the fewest openings. Infrared rays also arrive from the South-West at a particular time of day, another reason to keep it closed.
