Air Element: Flag Shape, Green, North-West, Kansa

In Vedic vastu (not feng shui) the air element has a flag-like shape, green colour, North-West location and kansa (bell metal) as its metal; the main door, windows, balcony, garden, plants and floor-to-slab height represent it.

What it does

A balanced air element brings peace at work, courage, patience and the ability to take big risks.

Cautions

  • A main door at the wrong place imbalances the air element: failures, delays in work and many arguments at home

Explanation and notes

Indoor and outdoor plants balance the air element and are used to remove vastu dosh; plants for health, wealth, concentration, recovering stuck money and fulfilling wishes are taught later in the course. Balanced: peace in work, willingness to take risks, patience, courage, self-confidence and morale, no nervousness. Imbalanced: delays and failures in work and frequent arguments.

Avoid Fly Ash Bricks: Ash Is Treated as Shalya

Bricks made from thermal plant fly ash mixed with sand and adhesive materials are wrong according to Vedic vastu, which likens ash (raakh) to shalya (an impurity such as bones buried in land).
