In a flat the structure cannot be changed. What can be done?
That is exactly what interior vastu is for: balance the element with its shapes, symbols, artifacts, idols, showpieces and materials to nullify the defect. For example, silver represents the Moon, so a silver artifact or a moon figure can be placed there. Like a doctor's supplement for a vitamin deficiency, the missing element is supplied; Ayurveda, allopathy, jyotish and vastu all run on the elements.

No problem. As taught in interior vastu, make one symbolically, and if that is not possible, make a figure (picture) of it.
The East of my house is completely closed by the neighbouring house. What is the solution?
This is taught in the coming classes: which symbols and pictures to use when a direction is blocked or has a dosh, and how to nullify it. This class covered only what should be where.
If doors are already open on wrong padas, how are they treated in interior vastu?
Vedic vastu says the defects of a wrongly placed door can be removed through the decoration of the door itself: auspicious symbols, yantras, paintings and artworks made on the door, door power at the threshold, and a bandhanwar (toran) hung on it. This class therefore treats wrong doors with symbols, torans, bandhanwars and colours rather than structural changes.
If furniture made by carpenters is placed on a devta's pad, does it affect the devta?
All 45 devta places cannot be left empty, or there would be nowhere to live or keep things in a house or flat. The Vedic texts say to protect the ashtamansh (one-eighth part of the pad); wooden items kept on any devta's place, even on a marma, are not counted as a dosh, because wood does not sink in water but floats. Besides, the devta's place lies beneath us, and the devta is basically a particular energy.
