E: profit, luxury and respect in society. ESE: health issues, fire risk, money loss, delivery problems. SE: frequent accidents, harm to children, illness of women. SSE: women stay troubled; with a boring, underground tank and overhead tank there, all problems fall on the women. S (seat of Yama): death-like suffering, money loss, loss of name and fame; people with a South boring could not win elections. SSW: debt, loss of character, trouble for women. SW: money loss and serious illness for women. WSW: no tank, boring or water body. W: money and character loss, though spirituality stays. WNW: a pit of diseases, more enemies, money loss. NW: quarrels, court cases and a restless mind. NNW: a family member goes away from home to earn, not so bad as he brings money back. N: the biggest magnet for prosperity. NNE, NE and ENE: very good, NE the best. Centre: certain money loss and bankruptcy. The same results apply to underground water tanks, and the rules apply to farms too.
When the main door of the building and the boundary wall gate stand face to face in one line, the arrangement is utsang (sammukh) dwar, the best door coordination in any direction.
Coming out of the main door and reaching the boundary wall gate by moving clockwise forms purna bahu (complete arm) dwar, which completes the purpose of every outing.
Leaving the main door and reaching the boundary wall gate by moving anti-clockwise forms heen bahu dwar, which cuts the results of even a correctly placed door.
When the boundary gate is on one side but the main door is opened at the back, so that one walks around the whole house to enter, the arrangement is prishth bhang dwar and gives no results.
For an auspicious journey or an important meeting, leave the house and first move the vehicle clockwise, even if the road later turns the other way.
A main door on an auspicious pad still fails when the route to the gate is wrong, when there is any vedh in front, when the house faces a cremation ground, or when the door is out of plumb.
A house whose front faces a cremation ground does not give results even with correct facing and a correct door; most of the hard work drains away.
N4, E3 and W4 are the Mahalakshmi doors through which Lakshmi enters; a house with all three open sees a heavy flow of money and many sources of income.
