Ventilation in Every Room: Vastu as the Free Movement of Air
Energy rising from the land (geopathic) meets energy from the planets and stars (cosmic) and forms a third energy that can turn intense or toxic when mixed with household activity, so it must be able to leave the house. Every room therefore needs ventilation.

- 2Place ventilation on whichever of the four sides the design needs, not only North and East.
Cautions
- A room with only air conditioning and no ventilation leaves its occupants unhealthy and unable to live well.
- The belief that no window may be given in the South or West is wrong.
Explanation and notes
A properly ventilated room keeps the mind and brain alert. Where ventilation can be given in each of the four directions is taught in later classes. This definition of Vastu was framed especially for flats, where air moves with high intensity.
