What size should the ghat be for the four-wick diya method, and should anything be put inside it?
Use a ghat that holds 1 litre of water, with a capacity of about 1.25 litres. Fill it with water only; nothing else goes inside.
How should an old well be closed?
A well older than 25 years is a seat of Varun devta and must not simply be filled in. Do the vastu registry with a coconut, asking the deities of the well to enter it, do three pradakshina, and after a few hours leave the coconut in another well in daily use. Lower a kalash marked with a swastik and filled with haldi and other items, add soil or sand of five rivers (or sea sand), and fill the well with good soil.
Parjanya is the devta of fertility, so why is married life said to be not allowed in a bedroom at E2?
A bedroom at Parjanya was never forbidden; it gives peace and deep sleep. What does not suit it is going there only for pleasure. When a couple goes there with the intention of having a child, following the method of establishing a kalash and keeping a diya, and conceives there, they give birth to the best child.
How do we know whether Shikhi or Parjanya is deactivated?
Use the same tests taught for activation. If the devta is deactivated, no fragrance spreads (desi ghee for Shikhi, chandan for Parjanya) and no sprouting happens (the wheat jaware for Shikhi, the coconut on the kalash for Parjanya).
Does the coconut kalash for Parjanya work when kept outside a door at E2?
Yes. In a flat seen on a recent visit, whose door is exactly at E2 (Parjanya), the resident keeps a water-filled kalash with a coconut on it outside the door and changes the water daily; the coconut has grown into a large plant, and the resident reported very good results for ten years without needing any planetary remedies. This is exactly the remedy prescribed for Parjanya.
In which month are Shikhi and Parjanya devtas awake?
Every devta has its own month; Shikhi and Parjanya stay awake in Shravan (Sawan). The coconut kalash can still be placed at Parjanya after Shravan has passed; once Parjanya is awake it fulfils the wishes of the residents, so that in such a house whoever enters and voices a wish sees it fulfilled.
Is it right to build a temple in the kitchen?
No, building a temple in the kitchen is not right at all. Keep only a small kalash in the Agni kon (South-East) and a small photo of your guru there; that is not a temple. Guru (Jupiter) and Mars are friends, so the guru's grace supports the kitchen.
What should be put in the kitchen kalash?
Only three items: as many whole turmeric (haldi) knots as it can hold, supari (betel nut) and peeli sarson (yellow mustard), plus sava rupaya (1.25 rupees).
Should the kitchen kalash be kept open, or with a coconut on top?
Do not keep the kalash open; keep it closed.
What should be done when Jupiter is exalted?
Give importance to the Ishaan (North-East), spend more time there and keep a silver mangal kalash. In the same way use the direction of every good planet with its colours, such as the South-East for a good Venus. If a planet is debilitated, use its direction as little as possible and avoid its colours.
With an exalted Moon in Taurus together with Jupiter, how can the Gajkesari yoga be made fruitful?
The house it falls in matters: a Gajkesari yoga in the 8th or 12th house does not give results and in the 6th it gives less. To make it fruitful, create the Gajkesari combination in the home through the interior, such as a water-filled kalash and white flowers in the North-East.
What should be done if all the planets are in enemy signs?
It shows disturbed karma from a past life, and the chart is a graph of karma, so do good deeds now. Strengthen Jupiter, the most powerful planet, through dharma, spirituality, devotion, mantra jaap and sadhana, and keep a kalash in the North-East; the enemy planets slowly start turning friendly.
What should be done when Ketu is exalted in the 2nd house and the house has a North-East cut?
Rahu-Ketu belong to the South-West, and the diagonal from there is the North-East. Put a mirror at the cut, or install a kalash in the North-East and fix mirrors all around the kalash.
Where should the kalash, rising sun and lotus painting be placed?
If you need a partition between the North and the East, make this painting on the glass partition there. If you do not want glass, the painting can be made on cloth and hung instead.
What exactly goes into the mangal kalash?
A silver sava rupaya coin, 1 gram of mercury (or Bhimseni kapoor), haldi, supari, peeli sarson and panchratna, along with a silver swastik and saptadhanya.
