Principle

Keep Furniture, Tables and the Tijori in Water Level and Alignment

The third principle of interior vastu: furniture, tables, the tijori (safe), artefacts and idols must sit perfectly level and in proper alignment so that gravitational force acts on them correctly.

What it does

A level, aligned table or safe gives results; a tilted one blocks concentration, work results and wealth.

Where

Study tables, meeting and work tables, tijori, artefacts, floors and ceilings

Samagri used

  • Spirit level (water level) for checking

See every other use of:

How to do it

  1. 1Check every table, desk, tijori and artefact with a water level (spirit level)
  2. 2Correct any tilt so the surface is perfectly horizontal
  3. 3Arrange the furniture in proper alignment

Cautions

  • Fancy POP false-ceiling designs can disturb the gravitational force of a room
  • A tilted study table stops a child from concentrating
  • A tijori that is out of level and alignment does not give results, however good its zone or colour

Explanation and notes

Gravitational force is the force acting between two objects. Even the best zone, the best colour or a gold-plated painting will not work if the object is not along the gravitational force, that is, on one level. When a car's wheel alignment is off, all its tyres wear out; in the same way a misaligned interior wears out the tyres of life.

Principleराख की ईंट

Avoid Fly Ash Bricks: Ash Is Treated as Shalya

Bricks made from thermal plant fly ash mixed with sand and adhesive materials are wrong according to Vedic vastu, which likens ash (raakh) to shalya (an impurity such as bones buried in land).

Principle

Marble Flooring and Knee, Back and Sinus Problems

Marble is calcium carbonate (CaCO3); homes with all-marble or Italian marble floors and no wooden flooring were found with sinus and bronchitis problems and, over time, pain in the knees, legs, thighs and back.
