The best place for a swimming pool is NNE and the North-East through ENE up to the East, leaving out the exact North-East diagonal (Shikhi devta); a sunken pool in the North-West is not good.

A pool above floor level is acceptable in the North and the North-West; in the North-West it can also be built high up like an overhead tank. A large pond in the West works for a big factory, as the West is the place of Varun devta.
