How to do it

  1. 1Make the design with the ancient Om at the top and different Om scripts (Bengali, Oriya, Gomukhi, Punjabi and others) on the eight lotus petals
  2. 2Have it made on glass, carved on MDF or wood, or painted on canvas
  3. 3Install it in the town temple, the home temple or the children's study place

Explanation and notes

Om alone is said to hold 10 lakh bovis of energy. The eight petals stand for the four directions and four sub-directions, so the painting distributes Om energy in all of them.

Mirror (Darpan) as Mangal: Water Element and the Right Walls

The mirror is one of the eight mangal items (ashtamangal) and is considered the best of them; it drives away negative energy and reflects energy when placed in the right direction. It represents the water element and the Moon, so it belongs on the North or East wall.

Remedy

Convex and Concave Mirrors to Correct a Cut or an Extension

As taught in class, a convex mirror makes a small space look bigger and extends it, while a concave mirror makes a big space look smaller; so a convex mirror treats a cut and a concave mirror treats an extension. A plain mirror can also extend a cut.

Pen Cap and Ink Colour by Name Rashi for Signing Documents

A signature can pass or cancel a proposal, a cheque or a property deal, so the pen used for signing is chosen by the rashi of the name you sign with: the cap or body colour and the ink colour are matched to that rashi. Only three inks are used for the 12 rashis: red, blue and green.
