Principleद्वार का अनुपात और आय

Main Door Proportion, Four-Piece Chaukhat and Aay Calculation

The main door should be rectangular, its height twice its width, with a four-piece wooden chaukhat. When the 1:2 ratio cannot be kept, size it by aay (length times width divided by 8) to get a 1 or 3 aay door.

What it does

Gives the main door dimensions that let it deliver the full result of its pada.

Where

Main door

Samagri used

  • Four-piece wooden chaukhat (frame) including the dehleez

See every other use of:

How to do it

  1. 1Keep the height twice the width, for example 3.5 feet wide and 7 feet high
  2. 2Use a full chaukhat of four wooden pieces, never a three-piece frame without the threshold
  3. 3If the ratio cannot be kept, multiply length by width, divide by 8 and take the remainder as the aay
  4. 4Size the door so that it comes to 1 aay or 3 aay

Cautions

  • Do not make floor-to-ceiling doors, such as 10 or 11 feet high doors in an 11 feet high room
  • A three-piece frame without threshold does not give full results even on N4

Explanation and notes

Sizing by aay belongs to mathematical vastu. Many doors today are built with three-piece frames and lose much of their result even on the best pada.

Principleदो पल्ले युक्त मुख्य द्वार

Main Door Must Have Two Shutters (Ida and Pingala Principle)

The main door is the door of fortune: like the two nostrils it draws nature-given positive energy into the whole house and lets negative energy out. Its two shutters stand for ida and pingala, the two breaths that alternate roughly every hour.

Face-Like Main Door: Lamp Niches, Jharokhas, Tilak Symbol and Lips

Design the main door like a face: two shutters as the nostrils, two small niches as the eyes, two jharokhas as the ears, an Om or swastik as the tilak, and the threshold and upper frame as the lips. Ancient texts say such decoration multiplies the power of the main door many times.

Testing32 द्वार पद

Locating the 32 Door Padas (E1 to N8) on a House Map

Divide the 360 degrees around the centre of the house into 32 padas of 11.25 degrees each, one for each of the 32 guardian devtas of the outer ring, named E1 to E8, S1 to S8, W1 to W8 and N1 to N8. The pada in which the main door falls tells its result.

Principleपूर्व दिशा के द्वार पद

East Door Padas E1 to E8 and Their Results

In the East, E3 is the best door with abundant wealth and E4 brings government support and respect, while E5 suits administrators only. E1, E6, E7 and E8 should not hold the main door.

Principleदक्षिण दिशा के द्वार पद

South Door Padas and Their Results (S4 the Only Good One)

In the South only S4 (Grihakshat) gives happiness, peace, prosperity and business profit. S2, S3, S5, S6, S7 (the debt door) and S8 bring lack of children, servitude, suffering, selfishness, debt and disease.

Principleपश्चिम दिशा के द्वार पद

West Door Padas W1 to W8 and Their Results

In the West, W4 (Pushpadant) showers wealth and W5 (Varun) also gives wealth, while W1, W2, W3, W6, W7 and W8 bring short life, overspending, loss of money, government trouble, disease and a destructive mind.

Principleउत्तर दिशा के द्वार पद

North Door Padas N1 to N8 and Their Results

In the North, N3 brings sons and wealth, N4 (Bhallat) is the best of all 32 doors with windfall wealth, and N5 gives wealth with dharma and fame. N1, N2, N6, N7 and N8 bring suffering, enemies, family stress, faults in women and poverty.
