Principle

Planets and Their Metals in the Eight Directions

Each direction is the seat of a planet with its own metal; keeping that metal in that direction captures and multiplies the planet's energy there and neutralises negative energy.

What it does

Lets you use direction-specific metals to capture planetary energy in interiors.

Where

In the zone of the respective direction

Samagri used

  • Gold and copper: East (Sun)
  • Any white metal such as silver: SE (Venus)
  • Copper: South (Mars)
  • Panchdhatu: SW (Rahu-Ketu)
  • Iron: West (Saturn)
  • Silver: NW (Moon)
  • Kansa (bronze) and brass: North (Mercury)
  • Gold and brass: NE (Jupiter)

How to do it

  1. 1Identify the direction of the room or zone
  2. 2Use the metal of that direction's planet in the decor or fittings of that zone

Cautions

  • Do not keep the SW low or thin-walled; thick, high SW walls stop Rahu-Ketu and Saturn influence from becoming excessive

Explanation and notes

The mapping comes from Vedic vastu, in which every direction represents a planet. You cannot hold the nine planets in your fist, but you can deposit their energy in your home through their metals. Metals capture about 45 percent of planetary energy.

Remedyअष्टधातु घंटी

Ashtadhatu Bell to Pacify the Nine Planets

A bell or ghanta made of ashtadhatu contains the metals of all nine planets, so ringing it spreads vibrations through the whole house and pacifies the planets.

Principle

Which Planet Rules Which Household Objects

Planets act most strongly on particular objects: the Moon on white objects and liquids, the Sun and Mars on fire, light and electricity, Mars also on floors and land, Saturn on metal, dug land and machines, Jupiter on temples and the tijori, Venus on luxury objects and Mercury on TV, telephone and electronics.
