Favourable: Go veethi (West raised, East low): good health, all-round progress, growth of wealth and grain, success in all work. Gaj veethi (South raised, North low): great earnings and ever-growing luxury, like an elephant in its prime. Dhan veethi (South-West raised, North-East low): showers wealth, steady growth of business and home, good qualities, good thoughts, learning and interest in dharma; homes with an open, low North-East or a dug well there have both wealth and religion. Pitamah veethi (South-East highest, North-West lowest): stability, good fortune and happiness.
Harmful: Jal veethi (East raised, West low): poor health, loss of children, accidents, loss of money, defamation and loss of education. Yam veethi (North raised, South low): inauspicious, destructive and death-giving; in a factory machines keep breaking down, maintenance and wastage soar and orders cannot be produced. Naag veethi (North-East raised, South-West lowest): loss of money, poisonous creatures or skin trouble, bankruptcy and constant money worries. Vaishvanar veethi (North-West raised, South-East low): fire, illness, death and grief.
The lesson from Pitamah and Vaishvanar veethi: the South-East may be kept higher than the North-West, never the reverse, because the North-West belongs to the northern half.
