Principle

Curtain Colour by Kundli, Element and Zone

Curtains please the mind and also affect the planets, so their colour is chosen by the kundli, the element and the zone where they hang. For a business, take the colour of a supporting planet among the 10th, 9th, 11th or 2nd house lords, or else the 5th lord.

What it does

Choose curtain colours that support fortune and mood.

Where

Doors and windows of every room; business premises

Samagri used

  • Metal curtain rod
  • Curtain cloth in a light, pleasing colour

How to do it

  1. 1Note the zone where the curtain will hang and its element
  2. 2For a business premises check the karmesh (10th lord), bhagyesh (9th lord) and aayesh or dhanesh (11th or 2nd lord)
  3. 3Pick the colour of whichever of these is well placed and supports you
  4. 4If none supports, take the colour of the panchmesh (5th lord)
  5. 5Prefer light, attractive colours that make you happy

Cautions

  • Do not choose the colour of a lord placed badly in the kundli

Explanation and notes

Curtains represent the air element: they move only when air comes in, just as the main door, every door and every window represent air. Harsh or dirty curtain colours make people want to leave a room, while light pleasing curtains fill the mind with joy. A curtain needs a metal rod, cloth and the right colour. Curtain design is a full topic of its own; the number of waves and pleats also matters because they represent planets.

Mirror (Darpan) as Mangal: Water Element and the Right Walls

The mirror is one of the eight mangal items (ashtamangal) and is considered the best of them; it drives away negative energy and reflects energy when placed in the right direction. It represents the water element and the Moon, so it belongs on the North or East wall.

Remedy

Convex and Concave Mirrors to Correct a Cut or an Extension

As taught in class, a convex mirror makes a small space look bigger and extends it, while a concave mirror makes a big space look smaller; so a convex mirror treats a cut and a concave mirror treats an extension. A plain mirror can also extend a cut.

Remedy

Pen Cap and Ink Colour by Name Rashi for Signing Documents

A signature can pass or cancel a proposal, a cheque or a property deal, so the pen used for signing is chosen by the rashi of the name you sign with: the cap or body colour and the ink colour are matched to that rashi. Only three inks are used for the 12 rashis: red, blue and green.
