Ghat Diya with Four Coloured Wicks to Find the Defective Direction

A ghee diya with white, red and yellow wicks pointing to the four directions is lit on a water-filled earthen ghat in the North-East, over a mantra written in kesar; a wick that goes out before the ghee ends points to the direction holding a defect.

What it does

To find which direction of a built house or flat carries a defect.

Where

Ishaan (North-East) corner of the house or flat

When

In Surya swar

Samagri used

  • Earthen ghat (kalash) holding 1 litre of water, with a capacity of about 1.25 litres
  • Water only, nothing else inside
  • Small diya filled with desi cow ghee
  • Four wicks: two of natural white cotton, one red and one yellow (made from mauli thread)
  • Kesar, to write the mantra

How to do it

  1. 1In the Ishaan (North-East), write the mantra Om Hum Phat with kesar on the floor where the ghat will stand; a slightly raised platform is even better
  2. 2Fill the earthen ghat with water and set it over the mantra
  3. 3Place a small diya on top and fill it with desi cow ghee
  4. 4Set four wicks: white toward the North and the East, red toward the South and yellow toward the West
  5. 5Light the diya where no wind can reach it
  6. 6If all four wicks keep burning until the ghee is finished, take the land as very good
  7. 7If a wick goes out before the ghee ends, that direction has a defect: the North white wick for the North, the East white wick for the East, the red wick for the South, and the yellow wick for the West, South-West or North-West
  8. 8After the method is complete, wipe the mantra off the floor with a cloth

Cautions

  • Keep the diya out of the wind, or the reading is spoilt
  • This is not a 24-hour lamp in the Agneya (South-East); use a small diya in the Ishaan

Explanation and notes

The Ishaan is chosen because the devtas seated there, such as Shikhi, help the test, and the mantra's effect makes the reading clear. The mantra was heard as Om Hum Phat; confirm the exact syllables with the class recording.

Principle

Good Land Energy Overcomes Orientation Mistakes

If the land energy is good, a building can still succeed despite mistakes in orientation; if the orientation is 100 percent correct but the land energy is zero, no effort brings results. Land energy is read best by your own soul and subconscious mind, not by equipment alone.

Prediction

Remote Reading of Land Energy and Defect Direction by the Active Element

When someone phones from a land and asks about its energy, a trained swar expert reads the answer from his own element; when asked next about vastu defects, the element that becomes active points to the defective direction, such as air for the North-West and fire for the South-East.

Testing

Hand Scanning Method for Land and Flat Energy

A built-in scanner: in Surya swar the arms are spread wide and the palms brought slowly together; the distance at which a tingling current stops them shows the energy of the land or flat.

Testing

Coconut Toss Test from the Brahmasthan

A water-filled coconut is thrown at least 10 feet straight up from the centre of the land; where it lands, drawn by the land's positive or negative force, shows whether the land is good for living, for labour or for industry.

Testingकेसर स्वास्तिक

Kesar Swastik Test for Land Energy and Outside Influence

A swastik drawn with kesar on a whitewashed surface stays bright for 24 to 48 hours where the energy is good; if it fades or vanishes, the energy is disturbed or an outside negative influence (bahari hawa) is present.

Ghat Vidhi: Wheat Javare Under a Water Kalash in the North-East

An earthen kalash full of water, topped with a coconut and five mango leaves, is set on a heap of wheat in the North-East of a built home; the colour, shine and growth of the javare that sprout from the wheat show the energy of the home.
