Pendulums are metallic (copper, silver, steel, brass) or non-metallic (quartz and its variety amethyst); a genuine, heavy pendulum is cleaned in salt water, purified with fragrant dhoop and given the intention to work with you before any use.
Pendulum of copper, silver, steel or brass, or of genuine quartz or amethyst
A beginner trains with a pendulum by asking questions whose answers can be checked, such as the name of the person in front or where a coin is hidden, until the answers come out right every time.
A dowsing L-rod is made of solid copper about 8 to 10 mm thick, with a short handle bent at one end; ideally it is cast on Guru Pushya or Ravi Pushya yoga with a little gold and silver, and it must be cleaned after every use.
A practitioner should know at least 20 methods of testing land energy, and the diploma teaches 25. They include the swar method (the change in one's swar on stepping onto the land), organic, inorganic, physical, chemical, biological, botanical, mechanical, water-movement and petrology methods, pendulum dowsing, nimitta and shakun.
Walking a land with two copper L-rods in Surya swar, the intensity of their turning shows how energetic the land is; an anticlockwise turn marks a negative-energy element buried below, and rods that stick still and heavy mark an obstructed, cursed land.
Holding two copper rods, the dowser watches them turn slowly as a person stands and moves in front; the distance at which the rods join gives that person's aura, normally about 18 feet for a woman and 21 to 22 feet for a man.
Commanded to turn clockwise for positive and anticlockwise for negative, a pendulum held over the land or over a chart answers whether the energy is positive, in which direction a vastu defect lies, and what will correct it.
A rudraksha bead, or a full 108-bead mala with three beads hanging below, is used as a pendulum; it is very good for land energy and for questions connected with spirituality.
Dowsing is a natural quality of highly sensitive people rather than something learnt; certain sensitivities, and a current felt in the hands while holding a rod, show that a person is a dowser.
A Y-shaped stick cut from a wood that holds much water, such as guava or jamun, is held in both hands and carried over the land; it twists hard where the energy or the ground water is strong.
Negative entities attach themselves to the land energy and settle mostly where the South-West and West are low-lying. They show as the sushumna nadi starting to flow, a dowsing rod that stays still, a strong body reaction in the visitor and constant unexplained trouble for the people working there.
Check especially low-lying South-West and West parts of the site
Locates bones and other shalya (harmful objects) buried in a plot. A dowsing rod or pendulum turning anti-clockwise over a spot, or the breath (swar) shifting into sushumna while standing there, confirms that something negative is buried at that point.
Dowsing rod
Any raw plot or existing building, at the spot where the rod turns anti-clockwise
A yes or no question put to a prepared pendulum, such as whether to open a general store or which subject to study, is answered by a clockwise (yes) or anticlockwise (no) turn.
Dowsing is the method of making an unknown or hidden object known, whether in the ground or in the body. The person is the dowser; a rod, pendulum or coconut is only a bridge that shows the movement, triggered by the hydro and geopathic currents rising from the earth.
With which mantra should a dowsing rod or pendulum be cleaned?
There is one mantra of the five elements for cleaning any object that has absorbed energy. It follows the Bhoomi Jagran Mantra but names the rod's own space (mam rod kshetre) in place of the land; exact words: refer to the class recording.
Hollow rods are sold in the market; should they be filled with something before use?
There is no need to fill anything; do not use a hollow rod at all. Solid copper rods, 8 or 10 mm thick, are sold wherever copper is sold; simply bend one into an L.
When dowsing, is the bone or water located where you stand, where your hand is, or where the coconut lands?
It is located where the pendulum turns clockwise or anticlockwise, at the spot under the hand, about an arm's length of one and a half to two feet from the body. It is not where a jumping coconut finally falls, but where the movement began.
On a Guru Pushya or Ravi Pushya yoga, have a goldsmith mix them into the copper and make the rod. If that cannot be done, take ready-made rods and have silver and gold fixed at their solid point.
Trembling legs when looking down from a height, or a headache near negative people: are these weaknesses?
No, they are not weaknesses; they show the sensitivity of a dowser. Practise pendulum dowsing: ask your spouse or children to hide a coin and try to find it with the pendulum.
Can a universal scanner or a similar device trace hidden elements under the ground?
The teacher challenges anyone to trace a hidden element with one. In a training, bones that generate negative energy were buried and 60 to 65 practitioners from about 15 states, using Lecher antennas, universal scanners and pendulums, could not find them. The body is the best scanner, so use the hand scanner, dowsing and swar methods instead.
After one bone has been dug out of a plot, how can we tell whether more shalya remains there, and how much more should be dug?
More bones remained in the case discussed. Bones are traced where the dowsing rod or pendulum turns anti-clockwise, or where the swar shifts into sushumna. Remove the soil over at least a 10 x 10 ft area around the spot, 5 ft from the centre in each direction, down to the depth where the bone lay plus another 1 to 1.5 ft, and throw it away. Then purify the land.
