Keep water in a gold vessel, or in a copper lota covered with a pyramid, at the Surya devta pad and drink it on waking to absorb the power of Surya.

Melting a little Bhimseni camphor an hour before sleeping drives negativity away, giving deep, dreamless sleep and harmony between husband and wife.

Keep a box at home, put in a small amount for feeding cows first thing every morning, and donate the collection at a gaushala.

Sitting on the toilet with the left nostril closed, the teeth pressed together and the feet raised on a small footstool clears the bowels in seconds and protects the teeth and stomach.
Toilet seat
Turning the toilet seat so the user faces North or South, never East or West, corrects about half the dosh of a toilet even when it stands in a wrong zone.

Sprinkle a little water on the main door threshold every morning and make a rangoli to welcome the Sun. For a wrongly placed door, plaster the ground in front with cow dung daily and make the rangoli in the colour of that zone.

Getting up at about 2 or 3 am to pass urine is not counted as waking up. The tithi swar is checked at the moment you actually wake from sleep; it has nothing to do with the time of sunrise.
At any time on an empty stomach, for example at 3 or 4 pm, provided the last meal was about four hours earlier. Wear clean clothes and keep the body free of negativity.
Each outer devta has a sadhana period of 45 minutes, so the 32 outer devtas complete the 24 hours (32 x 45 minutes) and come back to the same point. Shikhi's period runs up to 3:00 am and Parjanya's from 3:00 to 3:45 am. Havan and offerings made in a devta's own period wake and activate it quickly.
It is a 45-minute period. The count starts with Shikhi devta from 3:00 to 3:45 am, and each next devta takes the next 45 minutes.
There is no need to worry: an East kitchen is moderate. It suits early cooking, with the morning meal ready by about 9 to 9:30 am as in the kitchens of sadhus, so simply cook early.
Face North or East during study, meditation, puja, bhajan, meals and bathing.
A door is placed by pada, but a window does not work on the surface current: currents are dense near the ground and lighter higher up, so positive energy stays higher, which makes ventilation a must. Windows and ventilators bring in clean air and push the negativity of the house out, so they should open outward, while the main door opens inward; sliding windows are acceptable. Keep windows in even numbers, two-shuttered if possible, in one row at one level, with a window beside the main door; open all windows in the morning and keep the left (Chandra swar) window open during the day.
When you step out of the main door, first go to the right, even a step or two, and then turn left; then there is no dosh. People do the same with cars, moving them a little in the clockwise direction first. Leaving the house anti-clockwise is called heen bahu dwar.
